Fall, Late Afternoon Walk On The Golf Course

Late afternoon I decide to take a hike on the golf course, was out there for about hour or more. This was first time I walked to the new section (increased the course to 18 holes)...it was beautiful, 32 degrees, no wind and sun starting to set. I found a pond and a few steams and a turkey feather.

Thankfully they had a sign with the history and information of the 400 year old oak tree. The circumference is 10 feet. Age 400 years old.

New Beginning and Newburyport Frog Pond

AOL has notified us they are closing down their Journals, November 1st, 2008. Sad but we will continue on, most will be moving here, our new blogging home. Allow me time to adjust and learn posting. Any suggestions or ideas please write me.

My journal started out posting what my day was like and interests and eventually became a photo journal as my hobby of photography grew.

My photo group visted Newburyport, MA. The walking tour took us to this beautiful place, Frog Pond.

Another sign of fall, Sunflowers. As luck would have it I spotted a field of sunflowers, located a road that leads to the field.

Bob and I met CmishVicki and her husband Lou for a short visit and really nice lunch...perfect day.  Vicki took us to Sandy Hook for way too short tour, I want to go back and explore the area in detail.

I have posted my pictures of Sandy Hook Lighthouse, another scenic area was
Battery Potter. Located at the north end of beautiful Sandy Hook, Fort Hancock served in coastal defense until 1974. Sandy Hook, a six-mile sandbar peninsula reaching into lower New York Harbor, was a strategic site for both navigational and defense purposes.

On the way home from our vacation at the New Jersey shore, we stopped in NY visiting my cousin Lois and Fred.

I took a picture of the massive Moodna Viaduct which at 3200' is the longest RR bridge east of the Mississippi and was opened by the Erie RR in 1909. Picture was taken from Orrs Mill Rd Salisbury Mills, NY. Added HDR plugin, adding an enhancement to the image.
