Artistic Flowers

I enjoy gardening, hiking and taking pictures of my flowers and wildflowers.

One of my favorites, are seeing beautiful, colorful flowers with a classy, black backgrounds, matted and framed. Soooooooooooooo guess what I am doing this year, taking flowers with a black back ground.  I have nothing blooming and wildflowers have not popped up.  I practiced with a house plant and floral bouquet my grandchildren sent for my birthday.

I am using black velvet and natural light.  I also have black foam cord board.  I have wanted to start a series with the black background...I love the classy look the black gives to the florals.

Hi Betty!  These are all beautiful!  Flowers are my favorite photography and my colored pencil art, too!  Like you, I especially love the black backgrounds but, as yet, I haveno idea how to do the black backgrounds.  Maybe some day ... (as for lots of things!).  I look forward to seeing all of your floral photos this summer ... and, maybe, see YOU, too!!    -Mame-
