Playing With My New Camera and Wide Angle Lens

I receive for Christmas a Canon 40D and 17-40 wide angle lens.  I will be posting a few of the images in the next couple of days.

I have not been able to really get out and take pictures, my husband Bob had knee replacement surgery two weeks ago.  He is doing great and in the near future will be able to go out hiking with me.  He will be using my other camera...what fun to look forward to.

Nice shots, Betty, although viewing them made me go put on a sweater and grab some hot chocolate.  Glad to hear Bob is mending.  I'll be he's anxious to join you on your treks.

Let me know how you like it...I heard it was great.   I could use a wide angle anything with my new home location...so much beauty to capture.

Great. You will really get a lot of use out of the wide-angle. I'd rather have a wide-angel than a telephoto.

Betty, you put the new camera and lens to great use already. I am jealous of your photgraphy talents. You have always been great with the pics and now I am sure you will exceed that. Enjoy the Holiday Season, Bill

Betty, this must be the year of the 40D...but I didn't get a new lens to go with mine. Absolutely beautiful photos! Enjoy.

Great combination Betty.  I'm looking forward to getting a chance to use my 40D.  So far, I haven't even put batteries in it.  I have to wait till I get the new computer as this one is flat out of room, and there is no room to load the conversion software.  I'm excited, and you will get a lot of use out of that lens.
