Cornish-Windsor Covered Bridge - Summer and Winter

Winter

Summer

My covered bridge project is going to take a lot of time and will be slow going.  The great part I have been going back redoing previous images, since taking I have learned different techniques using Photo Shop.

If I can offer photography advice, shoot using the raw format, (thanks to CmishVicki's encouragement).  Most of my bridge pictures were shot in jpeg format. There is a huge difference in tweaking your images using raw format.

Another tip buy a wide angle lens.  I have a Canon 17-40, is one of my most used lens for my scenics. My spring image of the bridge was shot with this lens.

Your are off to a great start. Something you might want to try as an experiment is to mark the EXACT location and focal length you used for each shot and then repreat for the suceeding shots as the seasons change. It might just be boring, but it might accent the changes. Worst case, delete. Good luck. It should be a great project.

I think your covered bridge project is a great idea.  It will take some time, but you will have a sense of accomplishment when it is all said and done.

Betty, both of these photos of the bridge are great, for different reasons. I do love the wide angle, though. Can't wait to get some version of a wide angle lens...nothing is quite like it. Keep up the good work, you're doing great with this project!

I love the wide angle, my sigma is 18-200mm & I keep that on my camera all the time, b/c I hate changing lenses.  Just wish Canon would make one like that in the L series....I probably wouldn't be able to afford it.
These are both lovely shots, Betty~
