The day before I did find wildlife, ducks hitch hiking on a country road. I do believe they are someone's pets ...."sigh" not real wildlife!!!

Cardinals Taken in Early Spring In VA
Visiting my friend Rebecca R Raybon Photography -- created with PhotoSite who lives in VA, outside her kitchen window the birds put on a great show for us after a morning rain. The next day we were flying out to Death Valley meeting our photographer friends.
Ben I tried your suggestion, isolated the bird's color....I like it what do you think?
Last weekend we headed down to NJ for our granddaughter Toni's First Holy Communion. A beautiful day and ceremony.
Naturally while there I took a few images. The birds were taken at the hotel's pond. The Tapenezee's Bridge spanning over the Hudson River. What is very unusual, hardly any traffic, we lucked out!!
I am sure all of you have heard about our bad weather in New England. We are fine lost our electric but sadly many in our state are experiencing flooding and major problems.
I decided to play with my camera and took a few images trying create a rustic feel for a challenge. Unfortunally the fireplace insert ruins the look but hey it kept me busy!!!

John assignment: Weekend Assignment #160: Suggest Your Own Weekend Assignment!
My Assignment is take an image of your local weather...mine is SNOW. I know everyone is tired of my snow images but........it is snowing again!!!! I am also tired of the snow but this group of images I took were really pretty. I hiked in a foot snow on the golf course to take the pictures and taken in the beauty. Then I had to returned home to real life and SHOVELED. (Bob this group of images were from last week's snow, not this weeks, he did all the shoveling yesterday.)
I was preparing dinner and looked outside spotting two Morning Doves sitting a branch after eating seed.
I now make sure my camera is loaded, batteries charged after missing an opportunity to shoot a huge flock of wild turkeys last week..sigh another missed photo of wildlife!!!

Yesterday was not a very good photo day. Sometimes that will happen.
Heading home we passed a bog in North Sandwich, NH, I spotted what I thought were a few Mallards Ducks. Stopping, getting out the car, without thinking, SLAMMED the car door, hundreds of ducks flew away. Talk about missing a photo opportunity. There was no way I could have taken images from the car but slamming the car door did not help!!!! Sigh. Needless to say I will NEVER do that again!!!
