A few weeks ago, on one of my photo shoots rides we passed an building. Do to the traffic we were unable to back track so I could take a few images. Last weekend we went back.
I have no clue what it might have been used for. My husband thinks it might be an old work shop.

I would agree with your husband. I too believe it to be a workshop. These are very nice shots of it. I really like the intimate portrait of the front. The texture of the wood is wonderful.

guess what? They are having what the old timers call an ice bark up in North Alabama. I wish I was there to make pictures.
I love the bottom photo, the color, texture & composition is perfect!

Both quite nice...I love the feel they give off.

It looks like there was no electricity and the upper area must have been for windows to let in light. A workshop would be my only guess. I like the color of the wood which has a brilliant patina to the weathered wood. The B/W photo works well with it being slightly off center. mark
I agree with workshop. I also like the bottom picture best.
I can visualize Pinocchio playing around in there .... whilst Gustav Stickley is crafting furniture on a side bench, the cast iron heater/stove at the ready..... there are some old wagon wheels, out back, leaning against the back wall.... the sounds of a woodpecker, tapping deep from in the woods, echo through the cracks in the wall boards.... music to the craftman's ears....
Betty! I'm just crazy about the colored picture !!! ... the entire picture AND the wonderful, warm brown... This is just magnificent! -Mame-
both are great....but i love that 2nd shot!!
