Our extended weekend trip to Maine was certainly a highlighted trip and our first time to really explore the state. Maine's coastline area is beautiful and I am sharing a few images I took. You can also see Maine's Lighthouses entry and all my images taken of the coastline.
I have always loved the shore area and hope someday we will be able to retire on a coast. Maine certainly would a place we could consider but in all likeliness, if we can afford a home located in Cape May area of NJ, will be our destination point, we have an family and friends living there.

Beautiful!
I saw a sailing vessel, just like the one above, near the Throgs Neck Bridge, yesterday, it looked magnificent with the sails all up!
The warm colors in the top photo really makes that image.
They are all lovely~

Such wonderful images, Betty. I love them all. I used to love driving through Cape May and visiting the beaches whenever we vacationed in Wildwood. I could live there, too. Just give me the ocean, and I'm good!
I'm glad you enjoyed your trip ~ thank you for sharing the beauty with us!

Wow! What amazing pictures. Maine is such a beautiful state.
Thanks for bringing the state home to us. Have a nice day, Maria.
Wow!!
I'll just sit here and gaze awhile.....
Linda :)
The pictures are all stunning but I love the first and 3rd best. Great shots.

Betty Cape May is a nice sea shore area but I do not believe it comes any where near the beauty of Maine. Friends and/or family in the area helps a lot as far as any place is concerned. Thanks for the pictures, Bill
What a pretty place..
Very pretty, Betty, thanks very much for sharing
Betty, each photo is as beautiful as the others...what a great area for photography. Can't wait to see what you capture in Cape May next week. :)

Betty, your coastal Maine photos are spectacular. I love Maine... I think I have a lot of family ancestors in Maine. But I've lived in NC for the past 35 years. Our coast is not as rocky as yours. I wrote an entry yesterday and included my beach pictures, though they are not as sharp as yours. You are welcome to visit my journal anytime! Would love to have you come by and join me on the beach of NC... Bea
