Finding Perfect Light: Walk In The Woods "Ferns "

Last Saturday Bob and took a hike when visiting Massabesic Audobon Center in Manchester, NH. We were testing his stamina for hiking.  Bob had a knee replacement last December...he did GREAT.

We were looking for birds but did not see any birds on the trail but located a few near the center I will be sharing.

In this case I think black and white is the best. Glad to see things are blooming. We are green here, too, but it has been a very cool spring. Probably it will jump to 90 in one day and then we can complain about the heat.

The fallen tree adds beautiful texture to the scene and works best with the B/W as part of the composition.     The color of the ferns being a lime green gives them great contrast and interest.    mark

It's funny how people see things so differently. I totally prefer the color version because the subtle shadings of the greens in the ferns is lacking in the monochrome version. It looks flatter to me than the color version. Love the composition, Betty.

I find the color version of the ferns, absolutely enchanting. (Hugs) Indigo
