I cannot believe we have been experiencing signs of fall. After fall comes winter and snow, I am not ready for winter YIKES!!
*Chill in the air (39 degrees one morning).
*You can see the leaves starting to change their color.
*Acorns dropping.
Another sign of fall, Sunflowers. As luck would have it I spotted a field of sunflowers, located a road that leads to the field.

Remick Farm, Tamworth Village, NH
Remick Farm with Mt. Chocura in the background.
Last weekend our daughter's family visited for a few days. One of the places we took our grandchildren was Remick Country Doctor Museum & Farm. Children can really get into farm chores, feeding the farm animals, making butter, milking cows. Our kids made corn husk dolls, fed the chickens. (I do not share pictures of my family online sorry but I have a few scenic's.)

Battery Potter, Sandy Hook, NJ
Bob and I met CmishVicki and her husband Lou for a short visit and really nice lunch...perfect day. Vicki took us to Sandy Hook for way too short tour, I want to go back and explore the area in detail.
I have posted my pictures of Sandy Hook Lighthouse, another scenic area was Battery Potter. Located at the north end of beautiful Sandy Hook, Fort Hancock served in coastal defense until 1974. Sandy Hook, a six-mile sandbar peninsula reaching into lower New York Harbor, was a strategic site for both navigational and defense purposes.

Cape May Beach and Atlantic Ocean
Unfortunately we had little time to enjoy the beach our visit a few weeks ago. Next year I hope we can spend a week in the Cape May area. You can see why I love the Jersey shore, beautiful beaches.

Sandy Hook Lighthouse
Cape May Lighthouse
Last week Bob and I visited friends and family at the Jersey Shore. It has been many years since our last visit and quickly realized how much we missed. We are originally from New Jersey, transferred to NH 15 years ago.
My next few entries I will be sharing photos of our "Jersey Shore" pictures.

Moodna Viaduct, Salisbury, NY
On the way home from our vacation at the New Jersey shore, we stopped in NY visiting my cousin Lois and Fred.
I took a picture of the massive Moodna Viaduct which at 3200' is the longest RR bridge east of the Mississippi and was opened by the Erie RR in 1909. Picture was taken from Orrs Mill Rd Salisbury Mills, NY. Added HDR plugin, adding an enhancement to the image.
